Two Factor Authentication

Enable Two Factor Authentication

 

By default, for all users “Two Factor Authentication” option is set to False. Users can enable “Two Factor Authentication” setting from the Change Password screen.

  1. Click on “Change Password” from the menu bar
  2. “Reset Password” page is opened. We can see the “Use 2-Factor Authentication” option on this page. By default The “Use 2-Factor Authentication” option is false.

  3.  When the “Use 2-Factor Authentication” option is checked, a Registration form is  visible.

  4. Enter a valid Country Code, Phone number, and email address which details are used for Two Factor Authentication registration. Then click on “Register”.

(For verification, a Verification code will be sent to the provided phone number. And a message will be displayed like “Verification code has been sent to your phone number. Please enter the verification code and click on the verify button.”)

 

For verification, a button and box will be visible.

            

 

Enter verification code which is sent to the phone number which was entered in the box and click on “Verify” for verification. If the verification code is valid, the user will be registered with “Two Factor Authentication” successfully and give a message such as “User registered with Authy successfully.” otherwise User will not be registered with “Two Factor Authentication” and give a message such as “Verification code is incorrect”.

A user can be registered with Authy only once. After Authy Registration, the user can not access “Use 2-Factor Authentication” option again (“Use 2-Factor Authentication” option is disabled after registration).

When Authy registered user logs into the eQuip Application, the “Verify Token” window will be opened.

   Generally, a user will have to enter the verification code which is shown in the user's Authy App and then must click on “Verify”.

If the user clicks to “Text me a code”, a verification code will be sent via Text message to the user’s phone number which is used for Authy Registration.  The user will have to enter that verification code which was  sent to the Authy Application

If the User clicks the “Use Authy App”,  the User will have to enter the verification code which is shown in his/her Authy App and click on “Verify”.

 

If the user clicks on “Call me a code”, a verification code will be sent via voice call to user’s phone number,  the user have to enter that verification code and click on “Verify”.

 

If the verification code is valid, the user will be logged in successfully with verification via Authy Two Factor otherwise User will not be login successfully and give a message like “verification code is incorrect”.

Two Factor Authentication in Manage User (Admin Side)

 

 

Admin can disable the two-factor authentication to all user(s) which is registered with Authy Two Factor Authentication.
