Description: Implemented a Simplified Work Order screen that allows authenticated SSO users to create draft work orders without accessing the eQuip application.
Impact to Customer:
Step 1: Enable Simplified Work Order
-To enable the Simplified Work Order screen, set Enable Secured Creation of a Simplified Work Order to True in Software Options.
Step 2: Configure SSO (if applicable)
-If you have only one SSO configuration, no additional changes are required.
-If you have multiple SSO configurations, set IsDefault = True for the configuration that should be used for the Simplified Work Order screen.
Step 3: Auto-create users (optional)
-If you want eQuip to automatically create a user when a work order is submitted by an SSO user who does not already exist in eQuip:
-Navigate to Maintenance Management Configuration> Simplified Work Order
-Set Auto-add missing implicit dynamic dialog users to True
-Select a role for the newly created user in Role for implicit dynamic dialog users
Step 4: Configure email notifications
-To notify users when a work order is created from the Simplified Work Order screen:
-Navigate to
Maintenance Management Configuration> Notification Event Options
-Create and configure an email template for the notification event:
“Implicit User – Create Simplified Work Order”
Step 5: Use the Simplified Work Order URLs
-Use the following example URLs to access the Simplified Work Order screen.
