IT Hardware Retirement
- Choose ASSETS > Dispose Assets >Retire Assets
- Choose IT Hardware Retirement
- On the next screen you have the option to enter values for the search fields in order to narrow down your search for assets to retire

- Not choosing any values and choosing Apply Filter will result in a list of all of the available assets in eQuip!
- For this demonstration we will choose values for the following fields:

- Asset Category
- Site

- Location
- Choose Apply Filter

- Check the boxes for the assets that you want to retire

- Choose Add To List
- Choose Add To List
- On the next screen choose the Next button

- There are eight options available:

- Donated
-
-
-
- To Be Sold
- Sold
- Cannibalized
- E-Cycle
- Destroyed
-

- Lost or Stolen
- Other

- Choose Donated
- On the form that appears the assets that you chose in the last step will appear in the Edit Group on the right

- Right-click the first asset in the list and choose Edit
- Right-click the first asset in the list and choose Edit
- The information for the asset is now populated in the form
- Choose the appropriate values for the asset fields in the Retire IT Hardware section
- Choose Save

- The values that you chose for the Retire IT Hardware section will be updated on all of the assets (in bulk) in the Edit Group
- New values will automatically be assigned to some of the asset fields for the assets

- Asset Usage – Disposed
- Asset Status – DISPOSED
- All Software is Uninstalled – (value entered during workflow - T / F)

- Data Scrubbing Comments – (value entered during workflow)
- Deductible - (value entered during workflow)
- Is This To Be Exported Outside US - (value entered during workflow - T / F)
- Recipient Organization Name - (value entered during workflow)
- User Data Scrubbed - (value entered during workflow - T / F)

- The process for all of the dispositions are the same for the most part but the forms that you complete for each disposition method differ somewhat
