How to Add people in eQuip

Search For People – Add People 

This document walks through the process of adding new people in eQuip using the Search For People workflow 

  • Go to SEARCH > Search For People 
  • On the next screen choose Add People 
  • On the next screen enter or choose values for at least the required fields 
    • People Name 
    • People Category 
    • Site 
    • User Name is not required but if one exists for the new person you can choose an eQuip user login from the dropdown list to associate it 
  • Enter the name of the individual 
    • Usually first name and last name 
  • Choose Select Category.
  • Choose the Site that the new person will be associated with from the dropdown list 
  • If an eQuip login exists for the new person choose it from the User Name dropdown list 
  • Choose the Personnel Data tab 
  • There is additional optional information on the Personnel Data tab to complete if necessary 
  • When you are finished entering information for the new person choose Save 

The new person now exists in eQuip and assets can be assigned to this person as necessary
