Adding Attachments In eQuip
- There are multiple ways to add attachments in eQuip such as:

- While editing individual assets in a search

- Go to ASSETS > Edit Assets > Search and Edit in Grid
- Choose Apply Filter

- Left-click an asset in the list and choose Edit This Item
- Choose the Attachments tab and then the Add Attachments button

- Transferring Assets (adds attachments to the transaction)
-

- Go to ASSETS > Transfer Assets > Transfer Assets To Contract
- Choose Create Asset Transfer

- Expand the Attachment List section
- Choose Add Attachments

- During transaction tracking workflows that generate reports can be configured to attach the report to an asset automatically (such as the DD1149 workflow)
Managing Attachments In eQuip
- Go to TOOLS > Manage Attachments
- The Manage Attachments window will open

- You will now be presented with a list of the attachments within eQuip.
- You will now be presented with a list of the attachments within eQuip.
- You can narrow down the search by utilizing the search fields at the top of the Manage Attachments window and then choosing Apply Filter.

- This search can be configured

- Go to ADMIN > Manage Application Settings >Asset Search Configuration
- Go to ADMIN > Manage Application Settings >Asset Search Configuration

- Choose Manage Attachment from the Name dropdown list
- Choose Manage Attachment from the Name dropdown list

- You can also see following information for each attached file:

- File Name
- File Notes (if any were entered)
- Created By (if created by a user)
- Created Date
- Choosing the arrow to the left of the attachment information will give you the list of the assets that the file is attached to.

- To add asset to the list of assets which the file is attached to:

- Choose Add Asset
- Enter values for the search fields (if necessary) to narrow down your search
- Choose Apply Filter
- Check the box for each asset that you want to include
- Choose Add Selected Asset
- Multiple Assets May be added at one time by Selecting from the Search Results

- The Add Asset search can be configured

- Go to ADMIN > Manage Application Settings >Asset Search Configuration
- Choose Add Asset In Attachment from the Name dropdown list

- To delete an asset from the list, choose the
- You can choose the Add Attachment button to add another file or URL attachment in eQuip
-
- The attachment can then be attached to any asset in eQuip through Manage Attachments
- If you have created the same attachment twice (or multiple times) with different assets associated with each attachment

- Check the box for each of the each of the duplicate attachments
- Choose Merge Attachment Record

- Refresh the list by choosing Apply Filter and you will find that the assets are now merged under one attachment of that name
- To upload more than one attachment at one time for use in eQuip:

- Choose Import Bulk Attachments

- Perform one of the following

- Choose the Select button and then choose your file(s)

- Choose Open

- Drag your files from a folder on your hard drive to the Drop Files Here area of the window

- Close the window

- Left-clicking the link of any attachment in the list will download it to your Downloads folder
