Error Occurred While Saving Asset
This is a vague error that could be caused by any one of a number of potential issues with a workflow. The fastest way to troubleshoot is to use workflow logging.
1. Go to Admin > Manage Application Settings > Software Options
2. To find the setting, change the number of options displayed to 50 per page (drop down at the bottom of the list of options) and go to the second page.
3. Change "Workflow Log" to Advanced and save the setting by clicking on the green checkmark.
a. If Advanced or Basic is selected, please set it to No Log and click the green check box, this will reset the log file and limit the error to that particular workflow making it easier to isolate the issue. Go to Reports > Create Reports > Spreadsheet Reports and download the Workflow Log. This should produce a blank log file. Please repeat steps 1-3.
b If No log is selected, please continue to step 4.
4. Go back and produce the error by filling in and saving the workflow.
5. Go to Reports > Create Reports > Spreadsheet Reports and download the Workflow Log.
6. Look at the most recent entries in the workflow log report to determine the issue. If you cannot identify the issue from the workflow log, please attach it to the ticket and assign appropriately.
7. IMPORTANT: Go back to Admin > Manage Application Settings > Software Options and set Workflow Log to "No Log". This must be done or everything users do in workflows will be recorded, and this can affect performance.
