Configuring SMTP Settings (For eQuip On Premise Customers)

 

This article is to help our customers who host the eQuip application on premise. After reading, you will be able to configure eQuip SMTP settings. Any customer whose application is managed by E-ISG will not need to configure these settings.

  1. To access the SMTP settings, navigate to Software Options under Admin > Manage Application Settings > Software Options.

  2. There are 4 mandatory fields that must be filled out to access users to send various emails to themselves through the eQuip Application, they are:
 

FromEmailID

This is the email address used as the sender of a report or workflow.  This email must exist in the email server being used.

 

SMTPServer

This is the DNS fully qualified name of the SMTP server. 

NOTE: Do not use IP address. It will process incorrectly. The eQuip help does not have this information and may need to be obtained through customer’s local Network Administrator.

 

SMTPUserName

This is the account username for the email server that will be used to process emails from eQuip We do not recommend using an open SMTP service. The eQuip help does not have this information and may need to be obtained through customer’s local Network Administrator.

 

SMTPPassword

This is the password used for the account of the SMTP server. The eQuip help does not have this information and may need to be obtained through customer’s local Network Administrator.
